January’s Action Girl is artist and influencer Kate Davies. As owner of the brand Country Grandeur, Kate offers her exclusive artworks that encapsulate the charm of classic country sophistication.

An Action Girl after our own heart, Kate’s love of horses started at a very early age as she learnt to ride at the age of 5. Kate now lives in the Buckinghamshire countryside with her family, and alongside running a busy household she is renovating her dream country equestrian home. Service station challenge: If you were hungover and stuck on the M1, which fizzy drink, one snack and chocolate bar would you choose?

Most likely a diet coke & a bottle of water, a naughty pastry and a Picnic bar.

Favourite cocktail?

On holiday, I’ll always opt for a Piña Colada, but if I’m with the girls, then a Pornstar Martini – which are lethal!

Who would play you in the story of your life?

If age wasn’t relevant, then Maggie Smith – her witty sarcasm is on point!

Favourite film?

Gosh, there are way too many to choose from! Overboard, Beaches, Bridget Jones, Pretty Woman, Gone Girl are some of my absolute favourites. I love watching the Harry Potter films with my boys too and, seeing as it’s Christmas, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is a must every year! When I was younger, my favourite was The Neverending Story.

What is your greatest love?

After my boys, it would be horses and my dogs.

What is top of your bucket list?

To compete side saddle is up there on my list, along with a holiday to Africa for a mounted safari. I’ve also been wanting to see Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall for a long time.

What is your favourite song?

Again, I have several – I’m also rubbish at remembering the artists! – but Rule the World by Take That reminds me of my dearest Nanny who passed when this came out.

What’s your party trick?

I can fit 2 digestive biscuits in my mouth, and close it without breaking them.

Who would be your four dream dinner party guests?

I have some quite random choices here, so perhaps not on the same night! The Queen and Maggie Smith for their incredible stories, then Jonathan Ross and Gino D’Acampo for a night of giggles.

Describe yourself in three words?

Kind, loving, and a dreamer.

Who’s your style icon?

Ralph Lauren has always been my style icon, but I do love Kate Middleton’s everyday style – it’s classic.
